The TV show pits contestants against harsh environments all around the world in a two-week long training course that is designed to replicate Special Air Service selection; a notoriously difficult programme that has been known to claim the lives of those who take it on. The show’s directing staff take the recruits through hostile and unforgiving warfare environments, while testing their mental and physical ability through a series of tests.  …

Far right, Romes

Twenty-five men and women, including an ex-SAS operator working as a mole, face an intense start to the latest course, led by Chief Instructor Ant Middleton. It begins with a cold-water shock as the recruits must jump from a moving speedboat into the freezing Atlantic Ocean. They then swim to the shore of a remote Scottish island, where the recruits are based for the duration of the course. One among them is an undercover SAS operator, who left the division just over a year ago, but will their cover be blown?

SAS: Who Dares Wins in 2020 starts on Sunday 05 January 2020, on Channel 4. Episodes will air at 9PM weekly for six weeks on Sunday nights and you’ll be able to watch episodes online and catch up from All4 player.
